From paddock to plate

It is a known fact that Mornington Peninsula pride is in its most spectacular landscapes, pastoral bush walks, wild ocean coastlines and peaceful bays.

                                          

Today we are after different experience that at the end of the day will not only won't burn any calories but will add a few.We are going to visit farm gates that open to a general public and purchase their freshest, artisan, hand made or hand-picked produce.Mandatory paraphernalia consist of Mornington Peninsula wine and food farm gate trail, cooler bag, and credit card.

Certainly a car comes handy but by all means motorbike or velocipede that is more commonly called bicycle can be used.It is early, and our first stop will be at D.O.C Mornington for a cup of great Italian cappuccino.The name "cappuccino" comes from the resemblance of its colour to the robes of the monks of the Capuchin order.

Our next destination is Red Hill Cherry Farm where we opt to pick our own sweet and tastiest cheery.

Naturally as  time coming closer to lunch we head toward Red Hill Cheese.It is a place of artisan cheese makers for serious cheese lovers.The cheese made from fresh organic cow milk and free-range goat milk.The flavours are incredibly heavenly.Perfect approach to experiencing most of them was to purchase a cheese platter and sit on the deck with a glass of good wine.Indeed take away of half kilo of this amazing product followed.To compliment cheese platter we decided to check out Green olives at Red Hill.Variety of olives was not the only one on offer, jams, chutney, olive oil, marmalade, relish and so on.Obviously our next  harbour is what everyone loves.A new British survey has revealed that nine out of ten people like chocolate. The tenth lies.
